  1. In Act 2 Macbeth and Lady Macbeth's plan starts. Since King Duncan has come Macbeth has been having a personal conversation about should he or shouldn't kill the King. He's gone mental, and did not follow the plan by bringing back the dagger to Lady Macbeth instead of putting the daggers by the guards. She is upset that Macbeth didn't follow the plan, so she takes it upon herself to place the dagger near the guards. The next morning Seyton goes to wake King Duncan instead finds him dead in his chambers. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth pretend like that it was a surprise to hear his death. The two sons of King Duncan run for their lives but people are suspicious of this action. Then Macbeth heads to Scotland to be crowned King of Scotland.

  3. In Act II Macbeth is carrying out the plan to kill King Duncan, although Lady Macbeth believes it’s the right choice Macbeth is having second thoughts. He starts to go over the pros and cons of his actions, if he kills King duncan he would be fulfilling the Witches prophecy and keep his wife happy. If he gets caught he would be sentenced to death and his reputation would be tainted. Being too rushed to make a stable decision he ended up killing King Duncan, but instead of leaving the evidence of the murder by the guards like he had planned with Lady Macbeth, he brought them back to their bedroom. Lady Macbeth was disappointed that her husband could not follow the one instruction he had to do. Macbeth was able to leave the evidence by the guards before people came running in to reveal the news of the King's death. Both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth were able to keep calm like they knew nothing of the death, lucky for them the guards were found guilty and killed. Macbeth has been informed that because of the King's death he is now going to be crowned king. Throughout Act II Macbeth has struggled with hallucinations of the murder and keeps thinking of the evidence, we can see that this is where Macbeth starts to go off the deep end.

  5. Macbeth sees a crazy vision of a bloody dagger floating in front of him leading him to Duncan's room. Then Macbeth sets out to complete his part in the murderous plan and asks Lady Macbeth for some help with it. Then Lady Macbeth again chastises Macbeth for his weak-mindedness and plants the daggers on the bodyguards herself. Macbeth than imagined that he hears a haunting voice saying that he should shall sleep no more. then the porter pretends that Mackbeth was guarding the gate to hell. Than Macduff discovers Duncan’s dead body in the middle of the room. Macbeth then kills the two bodyguards at the gate then claiming that he was overcome with a fit of grief and rage when he saw them with the bloody daggers. Malcolm and Donalbain said that they feared that their lives were in big danger, so they decided to flee to England and Ireland, but there was one small problem, Their flight brings them under suspicion of conspiring against Duncan. 6. In Act ii Macbeth hallucinates and sees a bloody dagger floating above him leading to the King's room. This was his deciding factor to murder the King so once he heard Lady Macbeth's signal that her part in the preparation for the murder was done it was time for Macbeth to execute the final part of the plan.

Once Macbeth had killed the King, Lady Macbeth was patiently waiting for Macbeth to come back. After Macbeth came back he was holding the bloody daggers that he was supposed to plant on the passed out guards, so when Lady Macbeth saw him holding them she chastised him again for his weak mindedness. In result she just went off by herself to plant them. During the time Lady Macbeth was gone, Macbeth was having voices pop up in his head haunting him.

Macduff and Lennox arrive, Macduff discovers King Duncan’s dead body and out of impulse kills the guards because of the daggers he found. Once the sons of the former king got word of their fathers death they fled to Ireland and England thinking that they were in danger.Since they fled they were under suspicion to connive against Duncan. Thus crowning Macbeth the king of Scotland.

  7. The act of murder is carried out, however it has left Macbeth in great distress and in a state of shock. Lady Macbeth criticizes her husband for being weak but helps him to cover up the deed to look innocent. When Duncan's body is discovered and Macduff and Macbeth go by the King's side. Macbeth conveniently kills the guards so that he can blame them and no one can say otherwise. Duncan's sons, Malcolm and Donalbain, flee the country out of fear that someone is out to get them. Lastly, Macbeth is crowned king of Scotland. Macduff has his doubts about Macbeth and does not attend the coronation.
