Do you believe in fate, luck, karma, intuition, or some other form of "mystical" intervention? Psychic powers? Ghosts? Has there ever been a time in your life when someone told you that something improbable would happen and it did?
Yes I do believe in ghosts as I feel I have incounted some in my life when I was 14 years old at one of the oldest houses in Vancouver where my sister friend lived. I was in the basement and I was looking at a door and all the sudden the door just randomly opened with no one else around as that's when I felt I incounted ghost in my life. I was told when i was about 10/11 years old by one of my doctors "it must suck to have medical illness you could be way better at sports if didn't have it ah?!.... From that moment on I've been motivated by it to just go and play my sports to the best of my abilitys as since that has happend I've done many things that people thought I could never do cuz of my illness such as never be able to run track and field.....I did and finished top 8 in the province as I live by this quote "live life to the fullest no matter what the circumstances are."
I believe in fate, because I think that if you do positive things then you will end up getting good things back to you. I think that I have been very lucky in my life with the people that I have met and the friends that I have. This goes along with karma I think that karma does have its times to come and bite you in the but but overall I don't strongly believe in it. I have never believed in mystical things, physical powers or ghosts because there is no way there can be an invisible spirit going around doing physical things that you can notice. I have never had anything happen in my life that has to relate to ghosts.
Emily Barr I believe in most things that can't be seen, but can be heard or felt. I think that if you do something positive then it shall return to you later. People now a days are negative and are quite harsh, When you are negative negative becomes you. I also believe in luck because when times you fall down the stairs and don't break anything. For example when I fell down the stairs at my house and landed on my face i walked away with a bruise, I thought I was going to at least break my wrist. Ghosts I think are the best things to exist because I think of it as a protection that someone is looking out for you. Also it brings excitement when they mess with you, for example when a Ghost knocked down my whole bookshelf and it was midnight. Karma is amazing because when someone does something harsh or mean Karma comes back and hits you with a door. Sometimes good Karma comes around and gives you chocolate after you did something that was generous for someone else. Life has its ups and down but the Faith of yourself is in your hands, I don't believe to much into fait because then it starts to become you. Especially if someone tells you what your fait is and you believe it, then it takes over your life. In the end I believe in most things but not so much about fait.
I believe in a lot of things that can't be seen and people say are not real. There are many things in my life that I thought I couldn't do or I wasn't good enough for. When I was younger I never thought that I could be a good horse back rider because I was so young when I wanted to start that the horses looked to big and scary and when I saw other people and there horses going over jumps I was nervous but I knew I wanted to try it. When my parents put me in those classes I ended up loving it and becoming really good. After some time I became confident in going over jumps with my horse and doing other things.
I do believe in fate, luck, karma, intuition, psychic powers and ghosts. I believe that these “mystical” interventions give life excitement and I feel like they also give life purpose. I believe in fate because where I am today has a lot to do with the people who have come and gone in my life all of them had a purpose in my life and I wouldn't be the person I am today without fate leading the way (for the most part). Karma is a blessing and I curse I believe in karma because I feel like it makes people think about their attitude towards people and how they want their lives to be. Like if you want good karma do something nice for someone without expecting anything back. There was a time in my life when someone told me that I'm too stupid to complete high school and that I would never amount to anything in life, well I'm proving them that the impossible is possible, I'm going to graduate high school and conquer great difficulties and amount to great things.
To answers this question there are a couple of things that I believe in but ghosts are not one of them. I do believe in fate though, that everything that does happen, happens for a reason whether it is good or bad. That's why I believe that if one meets someone you should treat them with respect because you never know where they might end up. For example they might turn out being a big part in you life later down the road. Possibly your boss or even your best friend. There hasn't ever been a time in my life when someone told me that something improbable would happen and it has yet, but I do believe that things like that can happen. That if one tells you you're not good enough...... but if you have the work ethic and want that if you work hard enough that it will happen. It's just the question if you want it bad enough. -Liam
I do believe in karma, luck and intuition but I don't really believe in ghost or psychic powers. I believe everything in your life happens for a reason. Even if it is good or bad. Sometimes karma can bite you in your butt. For example someone told me once that I was going not going to do good in school. I proved them wrong. Ever since I came to Fraser a have been doing great at school, getting good grades ect.
Personally, I am not superstitious but I have always believed in fate, luck, karma, and intuition. I have always lived by the phase “What goes around comes around” What I do will always come back to me. I haven never encountered with ghosts or any form of spirits physically in reality, but I believe I have met some in my dreams. Strangers that I am not familiar of and maybe ancestors that I have not met. I also believe that is not fate that makes us who we are, it is the our own decisions and we are the ones to blame. Like in Julius Caesar where Cassius says, “The fault, dear Brutus is not in our stars/ But in ourselves, that we are underlings.
